Continuing through Wednesday, August 16, the City’s contractor will complete asphalt pavement grinding and patching of Martin Way from Ensign Road to the 4th Avenue/Pacific Avenue intersection. This work will impact traffic flow as well as bicyclists since asphalt repairs will take place in the travel lanes as well as the bike lanes. Construction is expected to be complete by early September 2017. This work is being completed to prepare the Martin Way roadway for chip sealing in 2018.

Wednesday, August 9 —Complete pavement grinding and asphalt patching on west bound lanes (from Pattison St west to 4th Avenue).

Thursday, August 10 & Friday, August 11 —Complete pavement grinding and asphalt patching on east bound lane.

Potential Impacts:

·         Travel lanes will be restricted during construction and motorists should expect delays.

·         Access to some businesses may be temporarily disrupted during asphalt repair and patching operations. 

·         Traffic control & flaggers will direct vehicles, bicyclists, and pedestrians through the work areas.

Please use caution when travelling through the construction areas and obey all traffic control & flaggers.
