Bike to Work Day 2019 Report

Submitted by Duncan Green

Despite cool temperatures, fog and rain, nearly 250 people logged their bike rides for practical purposes on Bike to Work Day 2019 in Thurston County! There were seven Bike Commuter Stations stocked with coffee, treats, bike maps and other goodies and giveaways for people riding their bikes to work or any destination. Many volunteers and sponsors contributed to the fun and success of the day!

Thanks to:

Baby Boomer Bikes, Batdorf & Bronson Coffee Roasters, The Bread Peddler, City of Olympia, Deschutes River Cyclery, Doo's Donuts, Joy Ride Bikes, Old Town Bicycles, Olympia Coffee Roasters, Puget Sound Energy, Ralph's Thriftway, San Francisco Street Bakery, Southwest Olympia Neighborhood Association, Stevenson Custom Bicycles, Thurston Regional Planning Council, Trek Bikes Olympia, and Vic's Pizza Wildwood, for providing venues, staff, coffee, baked goods, bike maps, and other support. Also, thanks to the many volunteers from Intercity Transit and the BCC community for all your help to make Bike to Work Day a success!
