Earth Day Market Ride Draws 130+ Riders

Submitted by Duncan Green

It's official, spring has arrived, with the 2023 Earth Day Market Ride in the rearview! Over 130 riders of all ages rolled to the Heritage Park Fountain for treats, swag, prizes and Market Tokens to take with them on the last leg to the Olympia Farmer's Market. Coffee was provided by Dancing Goats Coffee and yummy pastries by San Francisco Street Bakery. InterCity Transit Authority Board member and Lacey City Councilmember Robin Vazquez cheered us on, Olympia Community Policing provided traffic control, and many many volunteer ride leaders and other helpers made it all happen. This is what (bicycle) community looks like! Many thanks to all who showed up, helped out, and rode their bikes! Your rides on Earth Day count toward your BCC total, so make sure to log your 4/22 rides in your account! :)
