2021 Winter Bicycle Challenge

Intercity Transit’s Winter BCC encourages all Thurston County Residents to bike for any reason in any season! To adapt to evolving circumstances, we’ve expanded our bike challenges to include all kinds of bike rides, and made them even friendlier for the whole family. Bicycling outdoors remains a great way to get the benefits fresh air, sunlight, and exercise, all of which are necessary for the health of our bodies, minds and spirits. The Winter BCC offers activities and prizes to make it even more of a fun adventure to get out and ride!

For the month of February, we’ll have a scavenger hunt, bike photo and bike art contests, and random prize drawings, with awesome prizes for all ages. Tag your photos with #WinterBCC or @BicycleCommuterChallenge on Instagram to join the photo contest. The teams features will be active, and teams can compete for bragging rights.The Winter BCC is for Thurston County residents biking for any reason this year in February.

To participate, create an account on this website (or log in to your existing one) and enter the miles you ride each day in February, 2021.

We'll celebrate International Winter Bike to Work Day (called WinterBikeaLoopza this year) with a photo contest and extra prize drawings! WinterBikeaLoopza is Friday, February 12. Commit to Ride here: winterbiketoworkday.org/ and put Thurston County on the World Winter Bike Map! You can add your own loops, too!
