2021 Winter Bicycle Challenge ~ Final Week!

Submitted by Duncan Green

There's less than a week left in the Winter Bicycle Challenge, and we are within reach of matching last year's record participation! The weather is set to improve this week. Let's get out and ride, for our own health and well-being, and by extension, that of our community as well. If just 50 more people log rides this week, we can match last year!

113 people logged rides in the third week of the Winter Bicycle Challenge, in spite of the lingering snow. Go, Thurston County winter riders!! Log your rides for this final week by midnight Sunday, February 28 and we'll enter you to win one of the fabulous prizes pictured. And remember, if you log rides on 10 days or more in February, you could win a Lars Rover Power 850 headlight from Portland Design Works!

Updated Winter Weather Notice: The current forecast calls for a mix of sun, clouds and showers through this week, with temps pushing up near 50 degrees. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday are looking especially mild. As always, check current conditions, know what you're up for, and choose accordingly- but this is looking like a great week to wrap up the Winter Bicycle Challenge for 2021!
