Meet Ali - Walk N Roll Program Representative & BCC Coordinator
Ali started with Intercity Transit's Walk N Roll program in December 2025. She will be the one in the saddle and steering the events on this site, such as the Winter Bicycle Challenge, the Earth Day Market Ride, and the Bicycle Community Challenge. She is on staff year-round, so will also conduct bike and transit education with local schools and community partners. She hopes to meet you in person at an event or group ride!
Ali's professional background centers on outdoor education, youth programming, and community engagement. Outside of work, she enjoys being outside in any capacity and loves to explore beautiful places on two wheels!
If you need to get in touch with Ali, you may reach her at bcc@intercitytransit.com.
Gearing up for the Year's Events
In 2026, expect to see all of your favorite annual events. First, get excited for February's Winter Bicycle Challenge and then for April's Earth Day Market Ride! To ensure that you and your bike are ready to go, now is a fantastic time to show some love to your local bike shops. During the winter months, bike shops typically have more availability for both routine maintenance and to diagnose your bike's pesky creaks and groans.
If you prefer to do maintenance yourself, Walk N Roll hosts monthly DIY Bike Maintenance Nights and facilitates classes on a range of topics. Check out the Walk N Roll calendar for upcoming events in our educational bike shop and be sure to subscribe to the monthly Walk N Roll e-newsletters to stay current on all programs. Also, note that the old BCC social media accounts will no longer be used and folks should follow Walk N Roll IT on Instagram and Facebook for updates.

2026 BCC Theme
We are also beginning preparations for the 39th Annual Bicycle Community Challenge! The extended Walk N Roll family contributed theme ideas and voted for their favorites. From that process emerged the theme "Enjoy the Scenery Along the Route." It aims to celebrate that bikes don't just take you from Point A to Point B, but also to a million places in-between. Let the theme encourage you to take a moment to enjoy the beauty all around you on your next bike ride.
For the 2027 BCC, the plan is to source both theme and graphic suggestions from the greater community. More information on that will be shared in June of this year.
