Bike Art Makerspace - May 7

Thursday, May 7, 2026 - Thursday, May 7, 2026

Create with the BCC and Arbutus Folk School

May 7 from 6 - 8 p.m.Recycled bicycle reflector

BCC participants are invited to attend this free all ages event. This is a drop-in style event, meaning that pre-registration is not required and people may arrive anytime between 6 and 8 p.m. We will meet in the front classroom of Arbutus Folk School located at 705 4th Ave. E, Suite 101, Olympia, WA. There is plenty of bike parking located just outside the expansive classroom windows so, in the spirit of the BCC, attendees are encouraged to arrive by bicycle!

Featured Project

The featured craft for May 7 is a custom bike reflector! Help Intercity Transit recycle a retired BCC banner and past BCC reflective stickers by transforming them into a one-of-a-kind art and safety piece for the back of your bike.

This is the first of two makerspace events. On both May 7 and 27, we will also have a selection of quick crafts available. Take a moment to make a button of the 2026 BCC graphic, design your own magnet, or fill in a coloring page.
