20th Annual Earth Day Market Ride!

20th Annual Earth Day Market Ride (First Annual pictured above), Saturday, April 19 is the Kick-Off event for the 38th Annual Bicycle Community Challenge, and a great way to celebrate Earth Day! Meet neighbors, enjoy a Saturday bike ride to town, and support our local growers, makers and bakers at the Olympia Farmers Market!  See all the details below! Breaking News: Monitored Valet Bike Parking will be available at the Market for EDMR Riders! Find our volunteers next to the garden shed and SE corner bike rack just off Market Street.

Rides start in several different neighborhood locations listed below. Stay tuned here for last minute updates! The neighborhood rides will converge downtown at the Heritage Park Fountain at around 10:45 to 10:55 a.m.. We’ll have free one-dollar Market Tokens to share, plus free coffee, juice and snacks, and free stickers for all! At 11:00 am, we'll have a cheer, a prize drawing and a group photo. Then we'll ride to the Olympia Farmers Market, where you can catch some great live music, and enjoy the food and shopping! Bring your bike bags! 

The Earth Day Market Ride and the BCC are both family friendly and inclusive events for all kinds of people who ride bikes! We will have police volunteers holding traffic for us at the traffic signals going through the downtown core. Whether you're a roadie or a gravel grinder, a commuter, bike-curious or bike casual, we're here for you, to connect and celebrate all kinds of people and all kinds of cycling in our community.

Helmet and leader-provided Liability Waiver required, rules of the road observed, and we ride rain or shine!

NEW: The Oaktree Homeowners Association Pavillion 36th Ct and Arrowroot Street SE (12.5 Miles)

Depart at 9:15 a.m. (Road riders, with a route that uses arterial roads to reach the 45th Ave SE C/W trail entrance).

NEW: Chehalis-Western Trail Entrance at 45th Ave SE (6.2 Miles)

Depart at 10:00 a.m. with riders arriving from Ovation

Cutters Point Coffee (5.6 Miles)

Lacey Boulevard and Pacific Avenue roundabout.

Meet at 9:30 a.m. (or earlier for optional coffee), Depart at 9:45 a.m.

Trail Roundabout (Intersection of Chehalis and Woodland Trails) (4 Miles)

Meet up at 10:00 a.m., Depart at 10:15 a.m. with group from Cutters point Coffee  

Leaders: Makaela and Julie/Ovation Cycling Club converge here and continue west on Woodland Trail.

Brewery Park at Tumwater Falls (a family-friendly starting point and route) (3 Miles)

Please walk bikes through the park to the kiosk at the multi-use trail entrance.

Meet up at 9:45 a.m., Depart at 10 a.m.

Meet at bike racks on Carlyon Ave side of school (NW corner of school bldg).

Meet up at 10:15am, Depart at 10:30 a.m.
