2026 Winter Bicycle Challenge

Sunday, February 1, 2026 - Saturday, February 28, 2026

About the Event

Winter mountain bike sceneIntercity Transit's Winter Bicycle Challenge (WBC) encourages all Thurston County residents to bike for any reason in any season! Bicycling outdoors is a fantastic way to exercise, explore your community, and travel more sustainably.

Throughout the month of February, we'll have awesome prize drawings each week, plus a bonus drawing at the end of the month for everyone who logs rides on 10 days or more in February. Please snap some photos and tag us with #WinterBCC or @WalkNRollIT on Instagram and Facebook so we can see what you're up to! You may get featured on our account!

How to Participate

1. First, make sure you have created an account on this website. Ride individually or with a team!

2. Log in and enter the miles you ride each day in the "Log a Ride" box throughout February. Miles biked can be for any reason- commuting, heading to school, running errands, or recreating.

3. Check your email throughout the month for event updates and information on prize drawings! All prizes will be mailed to recipients in early March.

Snow along road with a bicycleBike Safely

Winter poses more challenges and risks for biking than other seasons. We don't recommend biking when there are snowy or icy conditions on our local roads and trails. That is a wonderful time to ride the bus or rest up for the next ride! Make sure you're prepared and don't exceed your capabilities.
